Our Stewardship theme for this season has been Our Money Story. Talking about money can make us uncomfortable, which we’d like to avoid, but Jesus talked about money more than faith and prayer! This theme invites us to discover and tell our money stories in the light of God’s money story of liberation and justice. It encourages us to transform our stewardship practices into more full expressions of who we are and what we believe. If you have tuned into our Sunday worship videos, you have heard the words for worship and Pastor Scott preach on four overall themes:

  • REMEMBER reminds us of God’s steadfast relationship with us throughout time and trials.
  • RELEASE encourages us to  practice releasing shame, anxiety, guilt, greed or anything that keeps us from freedom and wholeness.
  • REIMAGINE  calls us to reimagine our own money stories.
  • RESTORE helps us heal as individuals and restore a right relationship with one another.

Your Estimate of Giving is a commitment to how you will give to Good Shepherd. We commit because God never abandons us. We commit because we believe in God’s work of liberation and justice in the world. We commit because we believe in the worship and ministries our church provides especially in these unsettling times. We would like to invite you to continue to share in the financial support of Good Shepherd.  Our commitment Sunday is November 22 but we will receive your pledge physically or digitally at any time through the end of the year.
