Next Hike is Friday, July 16
Alert! Once again, it’s been necessary for us to change the day we had originally planned for the Dagget Pass hike – so it will be Friday morning, July 16, instead of Saturday. We will meet at the Raley’s/Starbucks parking lot on Wedge Parkway at 7:45am to carpool by 8am to Daggett Pass (top of Kingsbury grade). We will park at the trailhead (no facilities there). Bring the usual hiking supplies—water, sunblock, snacks, walking stick(s), and a camera. There are a few filtered views of Tahoe along the way. Click on this link for the hike: details: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/nevada/castle-rock-loop-trail?u=i Last time we hiked Daggett, a few of us stopped in Genoa on the way home for lunch at the quaint General Store. An option for those interested in visiting the oldest settlement in Nevada. Questions? Contact Lisa Mays at NVfirechick@me.com or 775-745-0840.
