Good Shepherd has always been blessed with talented musicians who love to share their gifts with us during worship and special events.  Here are some of the musicians and groups you may hear . . .

4Jesus Band
Director of Worship Deanna Gaunt and her husband David shepherd the 4Jesus Band along with a variety of gifted youth and adults.  They lead our 9am worship service with contemporary praise music that never fails to fill the congregation with the Holy Spirit!
Adult Choir lead by Choir Director Jennie Tibben
Our adult choir sings at our 11am tradition service during the school year (September through May).  All high-school aged and older singers are welcome to participate.

From a dedicated choir member: My favorite thing about Good Shepherd is the church choir, and my participation with it for 10 years.  Choir has been much more than singing, though it is that for sure!  Under the guidance of Jennie Tibben, I have learned to sing better, to appreciate the music of different cultures, to work and cooperate as a group, and to forge a prayer bond that has been church within church.  I hope and pray we are able to return to group worship and singing:  as the song goes, “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.”  Never take for granted the blessings that come daily, without petition, and just because God loves us.

Pianist and Organist Andrea Lenz
Andrea Lenz has been Good Shepherd's organist since 2001.  She also plays the piano for us and is heard accompanying staff and guest musicians frequently at Good Shepherd.
Adult Handbell Choir directed by Derek Nance
Good Shepherd's adult handbell choir consists of adults and high school youth.  They typically rehearse weekly and perform during worship services and special occasions.
Guest musicians including:
Carol Laube, violinist; David Brock, organist; Great Basin Brass and Timpani which performs on Easter and Christmas; and other concerts and recitals from such groups as TOCCATA and Carol Laube's student recitals.
